An ancient Platonist classroom in translation.

Our project explores the methods, arguments, and lived experience of Platonist philosophy in late ancient Alexandria, Egypt. We’re translating and discussing a series of lectures by Olympiodorus, who held the public chair of philosophy in the middle of the sixth century CE.
